CAIR has opposed proposed America laws and government orders which would have specified the Muslim Brotherhood to be a international terrorist Group, declaring that this type of designation would "inevitably be used in a political marketing campaign to attack those same teams and persons, to marginalize the American Muslim community and to demonize
